A seamless blend of petrol and electric power

Kuga’s advanced Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology combines a battery-powered electric motor with a 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine. The hybrid battery can be recharged at home or public charging stations. Energy recaptured while braking also helps charge the battery as you drive. Fully charged, the Kuga PHEV can drive up to 56km§ on electric power alone, and a total hybrid driving range of up to 748 Km. Kuga Plug-in Hybrid is available to order for 2022 delivery.

The smarter diesel option

The Kuga 1.5 and 2.0 litre EcoBlue diesel engines, feature the latest technology to improve power, torque and fuel economy, whilst reducing emissions. At 120 PS for the 1.5 litre and 190 PS for the 2.0, the Kuga diesel engines deliver impressive power output, with AWD available too. And depending on which you choose, you’ll also have the option of a manual or advanced automatic transmission.

A system that can help protect pedestrians

Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a collision risk with a vehicle, pedestrian or cyclist is detected, it’ll then provide you with a warning. If you don’t respond in time, the system can automatically apply up to full braking force to help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, some frontal collisions.
